Augusta’s Charcuterie Stylists

Becca Ledford and Kristin Hampson created Salt & Savannah after unintentionally making a crowd-pleasing charcuterie board for a baby shower. After some nudges from friends, they decided to start their own business.

Cheese, crackers, nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, and spreads, all artfully situated on a large wooden board. There’s no question that charcuterie boards have become a huge hit with restaurants and parties in the past couple of years. Even with a pandemic and fewer get-togethers, the popularity of charcuterie has not slowed.

Beyond the unparalleled beauty of the board, there’s something undeniably deeper that draws us in. Maybe it’s the social vibe it gives off: sip, nibble, chat, repeat. It’s the perfect finger food for conversations and fellowship. Perhaps it fulfills our “from afar” social needs by looking oh-so-pretty in our Instagram stories. Regardless, that glorious wooden board with a deconstructed feast on it has us hooked.

Two friends from Augusta have mastered the art of the board, and have seen extremely positive results. Becca Ledford and Kristin Hampson created Salt & Savannah after unintentionally making a crowd-pleasing charcuterie board for a baby shower. After some nudges from friends, they decided to start their own business. They offer boxes, catering, charcuterie cones, and massive boards fit for any occasion, even a Bachelor watch party for one. The wooden boards used with their spreads are handcrafted by Perry & Co, a local husband and wife duo. When you order your board, make sure to ask for one! You can head to @salt_and_savannah for more details on how to order your next board. Be on the lookout for specials and fun collaborations as well.
